One of the two detectors for colliding particles at Fermilab is called CDF. That originally stood for Colliding Detector Facility, but everyone calls it just "CDF" now. The original CDF was finished in ___, but it has been upgraded to give better identification of particles. Usually, you cannot see anything except the surrounding concrete blocks, but these photos show it when it was partially dismantled.
