Kaleidoscope

• Cut the end off a plastic film can.
• Drill a hole in the end of another film can.
• With electrical tape tape them together into a long cylinder.
• Tape the long edges of 3 microscope slides together with clear tape, so that they form a triangular prism.
• Slide the slides into the joined film cans.
• Glue colored cellophane onto a piece of plastic and stick onto the can end with a pin.

Rotating Periscope

• Cut the elbows at 45 degrees. Be careful not to cut so much that the cylinder will push off the mirrors when it is inserted into the elbows.
• Cut the corners off of 2 plastic mirrors. Hold them against a sander to round off the corners.
• Glue mirror onto the elbows with clear silicone glue.
